• Due to midterm exams this week the MCAS prep course scheduled to begin this Thursday will begin next Thursday, January 31^st from 2:30 – 4:15 p.m.

 

• All students applying for their FFA Greenhand Degree or their Chapter Degree need to turn them in by February 1. Any Freshmen applying for Junior officer positions must have earned their Greenhand and any upper classmen applying for Chapter Office must have earned their Chapter Degree. Please plan accordingly. Applications are to be delivered to Ms. McMillan or Mrs. Verrington or their mailboxes.

 

• Attention all sophomores and juniors.  There will be a meeting to decide the theme of this year’s semi formal on Tuesday, Jan. 29th in Ms. Grima’s room at 2:30.  Anyone interested should attend.

 

• There is still time for all Aggie students, staff, and families to join the Essex Aggie Polar Plunge team. Our Web page is up and ready to accept new team members! Go to www.firstgiving.com/nscdc/teams. Click Start Fundraising. Click Select. Click Register and follow the directions. Don’t want to plunge? Please consider sponsoring the team! • Freshmen, the deadline to sign up for the Class of 2016 movie night is this Friday. This event will be canceled unless more than 15 students sign up. Signup sheets are in the main office, on Mrs. Grace’s door, and on Mrs. Schonour’s door in Smith 219.

 

• Drama Club will meet Wednesday January 30 from 2:30 – 4:15 to discuss the upcoming Spring show. All are welcome! See Miss Theriault with questions.

 

Athletic Announcements for Thursday, January 24, 2013

• Boy’s Freshmen basketball team will play at Whittier Tech today.  Game time:  4:00 PM.

 

• Boys Varsity & JV Basketball teams will practice at 11:30 at North Shore Tech.

 

• Boy’s Basketball players should grab a bag lunch in the gym and then take the shuttle to North Shore Tech.

 

• Girls Basketball teams will practice at Essex at 12:00.  Girl’s basketball players may grab a bag lunch in the gym.

 

• There is no Cheerleading or Track practice today.

 

• Late buses will leave at 2:30

 

• The Football and Fall Cheering banquet will be held at 6:00 this Sunday, January 27th,   at Spinelli’s in Lynnfield.   Any player that is planning to attend should notify Mr. Lynch or Mr. Worth as soon as possible but no later than this afternoon.
