We offer educational courses and programs leading to a high school diploma, and the development of individual abilities related to occupations in our vocational majors. These programs are designed to prepare students for further education in specialized job training, junior colleges, or 4-year institutions. Alternatively, students may choose to enter directly into satisfying and profitable careers as owners, managers, technicians or specialty personnel in the broad arena of contemporary agribusiness. The High School provides instruction and
supervised practical experience that will enable our students to establish
occupational goals and acquire the methods to be utilized in their attainment.
Our school seeks to develop the competencies in our students that are necessary
for progressive, satisfying and profitable careers in the agricultural industry. Staffed by a faculty of 45 specialized instructors serving an enrollment of about 425 students, Essex Ag-Tech offers the small class size and personal attention so important to today's student. Tuition and major reference materials are free . The school day runs on an 8 day schedule alternating between academics and agricultural studies. The academic courses include English, math, science, career exploration, social studies and physical education. Academic course requirements are essentially the same as in a standard vocational high school .For a complete explanation of the school's schedule coding system CLICK HERE
Every other day is devoted to vocational areas. For first year students, this is a general survey of the schools programs. Subsequently, students select a major vocational area in either Animal , Plant or Environmental Science. Link to the
