Welcome to the Essex Aggie Student of the Quarter page. Every 3 months, we honor four outstanding students. The selection criteria includes: achievement in academic and agricultural classes, attendance, conduct,effort, and school spirit. Congratulations to the students and their families!
Matthew Harrington - Matthew is a freshman from Peabody majoring in environmental science and technology.
Matthew is very active in Boy Scouts and recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Matt enjoys hiking, camping, and backpacking. He and members of his troop are heading to Philmont Ranch in New Mexico for a 10 day back packing trip this summer.
Matt is also a member of the Danvers YMCA swim team, as well as the Danvers Fish and Game Club, where he is a Jr. NRA member and earned his F.I.D. card.
Melissa Edgerly - Melissa is a sophomore at the Aggie and a resident of Haverhill. She is an animal science major.
Melissa enjoys horseback riding and has taken lessons for 8 years at Cornerstone Farm in Haverhill. She is active in the Equestrian CLub at the Aggie. She is also involved in Cattle Showing and earned 7th place in "Fitting" and 1st place in "Showmanship" at the Topsfield Fair this year. Congratulations!
Melissa plans to enter the equine science/large animal vet tech program next year.
Nicole Barry - Nicole has the distinction of being named student of the term for the second consecutive quarter - Congratulations! Nicole is a junior from Revere. She is a student in the vet tech and research animal management program.
Nicole is very active at the Aggie. She is involved with the drama club and FFA where she is competing in the small animal CDE as well as the goat club. In addition to her activities on campus, Nicole is involved in ice skating and has been taking tap dance lessons for 12 years.
Nicole plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Raleigh and hopes to eventually become a veterinarian.
Brian Sangster - Brian is a senior in the companion animal care and pet shop management program. He is a resident of Saugus. Brian is planning to work next year to help save money for college.
Brian 's hobbies and interests include music - he plays the drums, piano, and guitar. He is active in the Cinema Club at the Aggie and participated in Technology Club previously.
Brian is consistently an honor roll student and in his junior year earned perfect attendance. Congratualtions to Brian and his family!
